Dad Returns from NBA BUBBLE and a funeral...Oct-Nov 2020

When Micah agreed to work in the BUBBLE we really didn't know how long he'd be there, all we knew is he couldn't leave the bubble and that it would be about 3 months. Well both were right, we couldn't see him the entire time, but it was closer actually closer to 4 months. The other thing I didn't bargain for was how extremely busy his schedule in the bubble with daily late night games and that we'd rarely be able to talk for more than about 5 minutes. This is typical for his event travel but to maintain this mode of operation for 4 months was quite demanding in a new way. We both had to operate much more independently, for better or worse. The kids and I developed a life in Cape Canaveral that there father was almost no part of. I now know in some small way what military mom's must feel being away from a spouse and raising little ones mostly on their own. We survived, but it took its toll, at moments I still feel like I am feeling the effect of that prolonged separation. My main focus was to raise some happy kids, keep them alive, go to beach as much as possible, throw in some fun outings... and  furnish a new condo. I feel like I accomplished all those things.... and more.  And bonus, no arguments over decor items!

On October 14th Dad came home...

On October 15th, the next day, we were on an airplane to Utah. Grandma Marilyn passed away so we went out to the funeral...and got in some cousin and airplane time...bonus....

At Grandma Karen's home, everyone is smiling but Brooklyn, you can't win them all....

Then we returned to Utah, and had some time with Florida wildlife...

Bridger took his first flight in a small aircraft with the EAA young eagles program.

And a few weeks later Bronxton got to join on Bishop Budges small plane. Lucky kids!

Meanwhile this was about as close to flying as Brooklyn and I ever got!

Bronxton, our 1st grader was constantly coming home with new projects almost every day. We had to document some of his hard work and creativity! I love the skeleton, which one is your favorite?

And we'll end it with a few shots from Daytona Beach. Micah and I were able to have a quick overnight getaway thanks to E'lle coming to stay with the kids!
