House 6!!! CAPE CANAVERAL July 2020

After realizing that Micah would need to stick around Disney for the NBA season restart we enjoyed resort living and then settled on purchasing a condo in Cape Canaveral. We loved the small town feel of Cape Canaveral, the attractive prices, and a freshly renovated unit in Ocean Park North. The condo was beautifully maintained despite its age of 1960s construction, had a lovely pool, close proximity the ocean, and lovely neighbors. We were happy to settle into a quiet and peaceful beachside community. We signed our closing Documents on July 9th 2020 and Micah entered the bubble the same day. Since we already had paid for Laurie's condo until July 24th we used the next few weeks to purchase the furniture we would need to live their. We made the 1hr 5 min drive back and forth many many times. We were grateful when we could just stay put in Cape Canaveral. Here's some highlights from the first month in our new home....
HOME #6 (and our final Florida stop)
The first night there with new mattresses, blankets and sheets (but a bunk bed not yet arrived)

Beach entrance (cutest bike racks)

Little free libraries everywhere, our first books to read before the library re-opened.

A fabulous park Veterans Memorial Park with mature trees for lots of climbing and shade (a rarity in Florida)

Happy in their new home...

And the best part, just a block from the beach!

Our first morning rocket launch!

Lots of windsurfers on a windy beach...

And just a block from a beautiful city hall building...

And just 2 blocks from the playground. What more could we ask for in our new neighborhood!?!

The first day in our new condo in July mom put Brooklyn on the countertop to eat an icee while unloading bags from the car. Unbeknownst to Mom Brooklyn shoved the pool/laundry key down these vents in the oven. The key that mom had waited for several weeks to obtain. It only took about 2 hours to fish them out. She has a propensioty to fit things in small spaces as you can see by the subsequent hair bow she shoved up our new ikea shelves.
