Hello World, I was born at 6:16pm on Sunday August 5th 2018. I was about 5 days early from my due date, but mom was ready for my grand entrance.
It was getting pretty cramped in there, here's to life on the outside.
On Sunday morning August 5th, I woke up about 3am with somewhat consistent small contractions. At 6am my water broke and the contractions got bigger but remained bearable until about noon so I stayed home, labored and tried to rest there. At about 12:30 (after doing a few sets of stairs in Morningside Park to get things going) Dad and I took the 2 train downtown to Lower Manhattan, NY Presbyterian hospital (faster than a cab, trust me). We entered the waiting room around 3 pm, went back to triage where mom was dilated to only a 4, but very ready so they admitted her.
After getting into the room around 4pm the contractions got really crazy, crazy intense while your dad conveniently left for a bite to eat. I opted for an epidural to provide some relief as I was getting really tired from being up since 3am. Upon receiving the epidural it worked on only one side. I was able to get a bit of relief on half my body at least. Right as the anesthesiologist was trying to fix the one sided situation I had the absolute strongest urge to push. That was at about 5:50pm. You were born at 6:16pm, so you can guess how things went. Fast and furious, but I wouldn't have it any other way. You came exactly when you needed to, exactly how you needed to, and to the right family you needed to! We love you and are over the moon you joined on this lovely August Sunday.

First time meeting big brother Bridger...
and Bronxton.
Tagged on both ankles, pricked in the heel and ready to go home please!!!
We went home after only one night in the hospital. It took a few hours longer than we wanted because you were a little jaundice but we got you out of there! Hospital Prison.
Going home was the best part, here are highlights from the first month. You slept a lot; but Dad and I really like to get pictures with open eyes!
