This is quote from the diary of Sarah DeArmon Rich, February 1846 right after the saints were forced out of their home in Nauvoo (for many a 2nd or even 3rd move from their homes): “To start out on such a journey in the winter . . . would seem like walking into the jaws of death but we had faith . . . [and] we felt to rejoice that the day of our deliverance had come.”
